Screen Space Fluids Pro (SSF Pro) is a collection of high-quality particles to provide surface particles based on real-time performance and adjustable speed / quality.
SSF Pro contains all shadows from SSF + their high quality (HQ) models that support liquid clarity and reflection. See screenshots for a comparison.
The SSF method is not based on polygonization and thus bypasses the standard artifacts of the marble cube grid. The lubricants are smooth on top to prevent the liquid from looking like “blobby” or jelly-like. It only provides the area where it is visible, and has a level of detail that depends on the point of view. All steps for processing, rendering and blurring are done directly on the graphics hardware.
SSF Pro only provides liquid detection that can be used, for example, through Unity’s Particle System. However, the SSF Pro works better in a third-party liquid simulation library like Flex.
SSF Pro requires a GPU with the support of ComputeShaders (e.g. DX11).
